“I’m sorry” – powerful words aren’t they?
The best thing about saying “I’m sorry” is that it does all of these things:
- It teaches the other person, maybe your loved one, your parent or your friend, that you’re willing to take full responsibility for what has happened
- and perhaps also for how your action has impacted the other person.
- And it teaches them that you are willing to do that again in the future.
This is something they will not forget. It will help inform the future of your relationship with that person.
